Lead Carpenter (5 years plus experience)
Reporting to Operations Manager you will be responsible for the on-site management,
coordination and delivery of all phases of the assigned project. It will be your
responsibility to execute an approved project plan. This is a working role where
you will provide leadership and effective communication with the site team under
your direction. You will also maintain a positive working relationship with clients,
sub-contractors and other external/internal stakeholders to complete projects to
schedule and on budget. Ensure that milestones are met and that critical items of
work are accomplished on time or ahead of schedule providing daily/weekly reports
(electronic and verbal) to management. Maintain and assure site and work safety.
Compensation for this position will be $40k to 55k depending on qualifications.
Mill Shop Manager
Reporting to the Management you will be responsible for the management of our
Millwork Shop. You will pick and develop your own staff as required. You will:
organize and manage inventory, coordinate the delivery supplies and materials.
Execute various woodworking projects using your superior knowledge of woodworking.
You should be experienced in the production and finishing of all forms of millwork.
Including but not limited to; reproduction furniture, doors and windows, trim and
cabinets. Experience in the field of historic restoration will be considered an
asset. Compensation for this position will be $40k to 50k depending on
qualifications.
Project Leader
Reporting to Senior Management you will be responsible for the on-site
management, coordination and delivery of all phases of the assigned project.
You will be responsible to develop and execute an approved project plan.
This is a working role where you will provide leadership and effective
communication with the site team under your direction. You will also
maintain a positive working relationship with clients, sub-contractors and
other external/internal stakeholders to complete projects to schedule and on
budget. Ensure that milestones are met and that critical items of work are
accomplished on time or ahead of schedule providing daily/weekly
reports(electronic and verbal) to management. Maintain and assure site and
work safety.
Mason
Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for the on-site
management, coordination and delivery of all masonry phases of the assigned
project in accordance with the project plan. This is a working role where
you will provide leadership and effective communication with the site team
under your direction. You will also maintain a positive working
relationship with clients, sub-contractors and other external/internal
stakeholders to complete projects to schedule and on budget. Ensure that
milestones are met and that critical items of work are accomplished on time
or ahead of schedule providing daily/weekly reports (electronic and verbal)
to management. Maintain and assure site and work safety, leading health and
safety orientation and daily toolbox meetings. Qualifications:
- Must have proven masonry skills in one or more of the following areas:
- Re-point of heritage masonry
- Laying of stone, brick and block work
- Familiar with scaffold set up
- Strong communication skills both written, verbal and electronic - email and MS Word (MS Excel would be an additional asset)
- Solid safety record and possesses a Safety First attitude
- Strong organizational, customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Must be a proven leader with the ability to engage and motivate a small work crew
- Must show a proven ability to understand construction drawings and project specifications
- Must have a valid drivers licence
- Some experience in a supervisory role in remote sites would be an asset
Carpenter Labourer
Reporting to the Team Leader you are responsible for performing the work
assigned. You will be required to perform physically demanding jobs,
cleaning, materials handling, and general construction labour tasks. You
will work with gas powered equipment, hand tools including shovels, tampers,
saws, and nail guns. You will be punctual and dependable. You will
anticipate the needs of the tradesman on your team and work to keep ahead of
them. You will foster a team environment through active participation in the
daily work plan and throughout the day. You possess a positive attitude and
positive outlook.
Apprentice
We are accepting apprentices who are seeking to finish their Apprenticeship training,
or if you wish to enrol in an Apprenticeship program you are encouraged to inquire
through our team leaders.
