This home was inspired by “Inge-Va,” a stone home in Perth, Ontario owned by The Ontario Heritage Foundation. The project was built in 1995 on the site of a dilapidated frame house.

The home was completed with panelled window frames, wide plank floors, panelled and plank doors, and reproduction trim. A fireplace with mantel adds a finishing touch to the kitchen / dining room area.

This is a view of a replicated fireplace. The mantel piece was inspired by an early example in the area. The crane is antique and was supplied by Hubbard & Co. Wood is delivered from the basement by means of a dumb waiter.
