1. Picnic Pavilion, Mallorytown Landing
This pavilion was restored as part of the Centennial of Mallorytown Landing. Hubbard & Co.
undid an earlier unsympathetic renovation, installed new roofing and support columns,
and stabilized and repointed the masonry.

2. Home restoration, Maxville
Located near Maxville, Ontario, home of the
Maxville Highland Games, this project called for major improvements. We
started by removing many unsympathetic additions dating back to the
1970's. The Victorian era dormers were removed, and a pair of lower slope
dormers were added to the front and back of the home. Cedar shingles have been
added to the roof along with replicated soffit, fascia and frieze boards
complete with cornice returns.

3. Residential bathrooms, Brockville
This project entailed conversion of a small bedroom into a bathroom and the addition of a three-piece ensuite
in the master bedroom. The tub shown is from stock usually on hand at
Hubbard & Co. Wainscotting, a vanity and built-in, period-appropriate medicine cabinets
were produced at our millwork shop in Spencerville and installed by our carpenters. The ensuite uses in-floor heat.

4. New home, Lyn
This is a grand home built in the Georgian tradition. As always, careful attention has been paid
to every detail. Shown below is one of the three fireplaces built, a cooking fireplace with a
faux bread oven.

5. Home restoration, Grenville Co.
This home was purchased by Hubbard & Co.,
restored and offered for sale. The property is the former manse to the
United Church (originally Methodist), and dates to around 1870.
We removed interior finishes, reframed a new roof
complete with 35 year designer shingles, and replaced the windows with
6 over 6 retrofit units. The soffit, fascia and frieze boards have also been
replaced.

6. Winchester United Church, Winchester
With the repointing of the south and east walls, we have completed the final phase
of this multi-year restoration project.
We previously repointed the west facade and
undertook a complete restoration of the sanctuary walls and ceilings.

7. Home addition, Lansdowne
This home addition was designed and constructed by Hubbard & Co.
The project called for the complete demolition of a 1970’s era addition and the construction
of a more sympathetic one. It has in-floor heat and a zero clearance fireplace (stone face
was salvaged from an old barn on the property). There is a neat visual connection between
the upstairs of the original home and the addition.
