1. 1848 Beach Road, near Oxford Mills
This circa 1850 Stone Home, vacant for many years, was recently
vandalized and burned. Hubbard & Co. has stablized the foundation and
backfilled it to prevent collapse. Reframing has been completed on the roof, and
is proceeding in the interior. Original style trim will be re-produced in our shop
in Spencerville. When this project is completed, it will be difficult to tell
that the home has undergone a major fire and a complete re-build.

4. Parks Canada, Rideau Canal
In 2009 Hubbard & Co. bid on and successfully won contracts with Parks Canada to
replace the Cedar Shingle roofs on a number of Parks Canada properties along
the historic Rideau Canal. We worked on buildings at Upper Brewer's Mills
(near Kingston), Beveridges Crown House (Port Elmsley),
Kilmarnock Lock Station (near Merrickville), and several other buildings in
Smiths Falls and Merrickville. In total we stripped and replaced close to 150
square of cedar shingles this past summer. We replaced the roofs using primarily
Certi-guard (pressure-treated) #1 Blue label western red cedar shingles.
